What will you learn?

We will fully prepare you for work in a dive center and provide you with a good understanding of how a center operates successfully.

Roatan dive academy, will conduct training at our real dive center and you will learn how to deal with staff, divers and clients through hands on experience.

Important areas of Dive Centre Management you will cover during this program are:

1. Dive Shop Administration

Understanding of the operation of the diving center in general, including: Sales and marketing techniques, customer service record keeping. Also you will work closely to very experienced and successful administrators organizing the day to day operations at some of the busiest dive operations on the island. The work environment of the dive center is always demanding changes in the roles of the personal you will learn how to plan and organize the Staff according to those situations.

2. Compressors and Equipment

Learn how to handle air & NITROX compressors, basis for operations initial set up trouble shoot and basic service. Equipment maintenance repairs and adjustments understand routine care and maintenance procedures and how dive gear works. Parts identification orders and manufactures selection.

3. Dive/Snorkel Operation

Organizing Scuba Dive Trips – You will schedule the scuba diving and snorkeling trips on our dive boats.

4. Dive School

Organizing Scuba Dive Courses / Dive Training schedules – You will arrange and organize courses. This will include organizing instructor scheduling, manuals, slates, equipment requirements and swimming pool logistics etc. and all other aspects of actual diving courses and organization.This module also looks at getting the most from PADI and the various training agencies such as Divers Alert Network that you will deal with as the owner/operator of a dive business.
